The Visit of Gabriel
While Daniel was praying,
The angel Gabriel appeared
And said when you began to pray,
An answer was given.
Gabriel is saying God has a time
Table for the end times. There is time
For the people in captivity to return
And rebuild the holy city Jerusalem.
Seal up the vision of prophecy.
It is to be fulfilled in the future
Get ready for the birth of Jesus,
The coming of righteousness.
Some prophecies are difficult
To interpret, but God has a time
Table in world history, and He
Is unfolding it at His will.
One day Jesus will come, and
All who rebel against Him will
Be judged. But now is the day
Of mercy, the day of grace.
God is calling to the godless;
Today if you hear my voice,
Harden not your hearts. Don’t wait
For the hearse to carry you to church.
