The Time
of the End A final section in this
chapter
And in chapter 12 are events
To come in the future. Antiochus
Epiphanes was a king in the past.
Here he may be a type of a greater
Evil character prophesied for the
Future, the antichrist. The time of the
End means the end of the world;
Just before the final judgment.
The first verse of chapter 12
Begins, at that time, the time
Just described there will be
A great persecution, a general
Resurrection, a final judgment,
And the final, eternal blessedness
Of the saints. See Matthew 24,25.
The Lord said, there will be great
Distress, unequaled from the
World until now---and never
To be equaled again. (Matt. 24:21).
