Praise
be to God Daniel tells us about the
prayer
With his three faithful friends.
They prayed not for secular
Wisdom. It could not comprehend.
Babylonian wisdom had not
A clue to the famous dream.
They prayed to God for wisdom
For in all things, He is supreme.
They praised God for his power,
And control. Nebuchadnezzar
Thought himself to be in control.
He was the General five-star.
God changes times and seasons;
He sets up kings and disposes of them.
He gives wisdom in spiritual matters,
And guidance for life’s items.
I thank and praise you, O God of
my fathers: You have given me wisdom
and power, you have made known what
we have asked of you. You have
made known the dream of the king.
