 PSALM 112

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish." (Psalm 112, KJV)

Psalm 112

The Blessedness of the Righteous Man

Rehearsed in this psalm are the blessings
Which God wants to bestow on the godly.
It is a banquet of heavenly wisdom,
And praises God for these blessings.

God and the godly person is like the
Relationship of the sun to the moon.
The sun has its own glorious light, but
The moon can only reflect the sunlight.

“Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
who finds great delight in his commands.”
The godly man fears God, obeys God
And he delights in God’s commands.

The blessings of a righteous man are:
His children shall be upright. They have
Greater than gold or silver. God is their light.
They are blessed with God’s justice.

Stable in their faith, and they have honor
And compassion, and are generous with
Gifts to the poor. Their righteousness
Endures forever.

“But the wicked man will gnash his teeth
and waste away; the longing of the wicked
will come to nothing.”
If you are not a Christian,
Don’t wait to find out what life is about.
