 PSALM 133

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore. (Psalm 133).

Psalm 133

Unity in the Kingdom

Living together in unity
Is a gift and blessing of God.
Unity among the brethren
Is a foretaste of heaven.

But today’s life is characterized
As a terrifying anti-community. It is a
“Me, me, me” world with unruly
Elements that contributes to disunity.

True unity is a new fellowship
Through Christ Jesus as men become
One new man in Christ Jesus;
One faith, one baptism and one Lord.

Jesus prayed for the unity in the body
Of Christ, That they may be one: I in them
And you in me…that they may be brought
to complete unity that the world may believe.”

“Bless be the tie that binds our hearts in
Christian love: the fellowship of kindred
Minds is like to that above.”
