The Christian’s Only Weapons
In times of persecution, the Christian
Has only two weapons steadfastness
And loyalty. Jesus said, they that take
the sword shall perish with the sword.
Christians must accept all that being
A Christian involves. It means taking
Up a cross involving trial, scourging
Imprisonment and even death.
Right can never be defended
By doing wrong. An intolerable
Paradox is using force to defend
The Gospel of love.
The Christian has two weapons he
Can use, steadfastness and loyalty.
It means accepting the worst
And turning it into glory.
Christian must present to all men
The steadfastness and the loyalty
To Jesus Christ which is not moved
By fear or favor of men.
