The Rejoicing Saints
This scene opens with a great host
In heaven singing the Hallelujah
Chorus attributing deliverance,
Glory and power to God.
Above the wails and lamentation of
Fallen kings, merchants and mariners,
And above the noise of crashing walls
And flaming streets is heard the singing.
The four and twenty elders and the
Four living creatures join the song
Of triumph saying, Amen (So be it)
Hallelujah, praise be to God.
John heard the redeemed, a great
Multitude, singing Hallelujah for
The Lord our God, Almighty,
Reigns forever and ever.
They are thinking of the marriage
Of the Lamb and the bride, but
The time of that union has not
Come yet. What happy anticipation.
