Jesus commanded, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" (Mark 16:15).

The pastors in the Bolivar Evangelical Church Association Guaranda, Ecuador, asked that the dedication of the Seminary Extension of Peniel Theological Seminary wait until I would be able to attend. I have taken an active part in the promotion of the seminary extension during evangelism training workshops in Guaranda.

Three-day Key Word Bible Doctrine workshop at Guaranda, Ecuador

The Bolivar Association celebrated a Pastors' Appreciation Concert as part of the dedication and promotion of Peniel Seminary. They rented the Guaranda Civic Theater and invited the churches in the association and general public to attend. Over a thousand people filled the theater and three balconies. People were standing in the street listening to the program. I was asked to preach an evangelistic message at the concert. As I sat on the front row with 25 pastors I thought to myself. "Lord perhaps this is the hour that You have been preparing me for over the last 52 years. Here am I. I make myself available to You to speak through me the message You would have this group of people hear this night." As I preached from John chapter three and the plan of salvation in Romans I sensed the presence and the power of God moving over the audience. The Holy Spirit was at work in people's lives.

The Pastor's Appreciation lasted four hours! No, it really seemed like only an hour. The love for the pastors and their "missionary" was one of the greatest experiences in my fifty-two years of ministry. I thank the Lord for the privilege and opportunity of serving Him.

I presented three day Key Word Bible Doctrine conferences in Riobamba and Guaranda. There is an intense hunger for a greater knowledge of God's Word.

Abide in Christ printed a thousand copies of my book in Spanish on Key Word Bible Doctrines and these are being used in the workshops and conferences, and as part of the promotion of Peniel Seminary.

Ann and I have been providing scholarships for Peniel students who are unable to provide for their own tuition. We would like to invite other Christians to help meet the needs of this Bible-centered seminary for Quechua speaking pastors and church leaders. The scholarships are currently $175 each tri-semester.

I taught a two day evangelism workshop in Rumipamba. This Quichua church is two years old and ministers in a Spanish community with very few evangelical believers. We are committed to returning to the paramo communities located at 15,000 feet above sea level. There is one Quichua evangelist and church planter working in the area from Rumipamba to Pallatanga.

In a Riobamba suburb I was scheduled to teach a one day workshop on evangelism in a home church. I began my introduction and after thirty minutes the participants began asking questions about doctrine and beliefs of cults that were plaguing them. I responded to their questions from 9 am to 3 pm with a thirty minute lunch break.

Pray for the evangelical churches in Ecuador, and their outreach to a lost world.

Partnership missions give you an opportunity to become personally involved in what God is doing in world missions. Pray daily for the work in Honduras. Give financially. We are a faith mission and are dependent upon your financial gifts. q Pastor and Church Leadership Training Ministry in Ecuador. Each trip costs approximately $4,000 and covers airplane tickets, room and board, rent for truck, gas, local workers, textbooks and food for students.

q Pray for evangelism saturation teams to do door-to-door evangelism and rallies at night.

q Pray for scholarships for Peniel Seminary students in Riobamba, Ecuador.

q Pray for Evangelism Workshops with Nicaragua Baptist pastors.

q Pray for wisdom to know where the Lord is leading to conduct evangelism workshops, and where to focus teaching ministry. We have been asked to return every three months and teach Ecuador pastors.

q We are presenting one-day, three-day weekend, and one week Evangelism Workshops for pastors and church leaders in churches in Latin America.

Alberto is a pastor and leader in the Quechua Evangelical Churches in Chimborazo Province, Ecuador. He is Director of the Peniel Theological Seminary in Riobamba, Ecuador. He has over 20 years' experience pastoring bilingual churches in Ecuador. He and his wife are both graduates of an evangelical seminary in Bolivia.
