Hunger for God's Word in Ecuador

Wil training leaders at the new Genesis Bilingual Evangelical Church in
Robamba, Ecuador
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it
is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I
now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me
and gave Himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20).
The new Genesis Bilingual Evangelical Church in
Riobamba, Ecuador began holding regular services in November 2011. Wil
Pounds had the privilege of holding the first service in the new
building. He taught a four day course on Paul's letter to Galatians to
the church leaders to reinforce the evangelism workshops he taught there
earlier in the year.
This group of Quechua Indian believers has been
meeting in homes during the past two years. They have been running 85 in
worship services with the adults, youth and children meeting in
different locations.

The walls with windows and doors have now been
completed.

Construction has begun for Sunday School class
rooms on the second floor.
Wil taught the Galatians workshop in seven
different locations to pastors and church leaders. He also taught the
Saturday class and introduction to Galatians at Peniel Bible Seminary in
Riobamba.
At the Chambo de San Geraldo church Wil listened to
a beautiful woman's choir. A member of the church is one of the
translators for the new revision of the Chimborazo dialect of the
Quechua Bible. There is hunger for the Word of God in these rural
mountain Indian villages.

Evangelical Church where Wil taught Galatians
One of the Peniel Seminary extensions is in
Pallatanga, Ecuador. Wil taught Galatians in an open arch way at the
Municipal Center because of lack of space where the seminary class
meets.

Galatians
Each week during the night Alberto Copa, Peniel
Seminary Director, conducted an open air evangelistic service. Well
over a hundred youth made decisions the final night of the crusade in
Pallatanga. It gives great satisfaction to be working with a seminary
that has a passion for evangelism and discipleship. All thirty-two of
our evangelism workshops planned for 2012 in Ecuador are being scheduled
in locations where seminary students are pastors. Alberto and his staff
will follow-up on these conferences with the students and their
churches.

Galatias workshop in Portoviejo, Ecuador, is also one of four Peniel
Seminary extension centers.
There was a great interest and powerful moving of
the Holy Spirit as I taught Galatians in Riobamba, Chambo, Portoviejo,
Jipijapa, Baia de Caraquez, Pallatanga and the seminary. Christ in you.
To Him alone be all glory!
